Plastic recycling and washing equipment, supplied as single machines or complete lines. Hebei Province, China

Materials

Washing equipment only works if it is built around the material going into it. Two lines handling the same tonnage of bottles and film are different machines.

The lists below are the materials the equipment is regularly built for. What matters at the specification stage is how the material arrives, how dirty it is, and what the finished flake has to be.

Material range

Material determines the machine, not the tonnage.

The same throughput figure means a different machine depending on what is going through it. These are the material groups the equipment is built for.

PET bottles

Whole or baled bottles, with label and cap handling, cold or hot rinsing, and flake drying.

PE and PP film

Agricultural, stretch and packaging film. Opened first, then washed by friction and rinsed.

Woven bags

Jumbo, cement and fertiliser bags, with dust removal before the wet stages.

Pipes and profiles

PVC, PE and PP sections cut to flake for reuse in extrusion or injection.

Crates and containers

HDPE crates, drums, jerry cans and pallets, flattened and crushed.

Mixed and industrial scrap

Unsorted rigid plastic, purge and factory scrap, separated by flotation and air.
